The Costumes at the Con
In Part IV of the 2008 San Diego Comic Con Coverage, we take a look at the different costumes or cosplay that people wore at the Con. Some were bought and some were home-made, but all were cool!
The Comic Con is a place where you can dress up as your favorite comic/movie characters and show them off to the crowd.
If you or someone you know is showcased here, please let us know as we would love to give credit to all who dressed up to prove that Halloween does not come often in the year!
-------------------------------------------------------
The first costumes that we saw was a group of people in Cobra attire from GIJOE!

Check the film out here: G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra
---------------------------------------------------------
Bounty Hunters!

These costumes were all custom made because they were an extended part of the star wars universe and only super fans bother to spend the time and money to create these awesome costumes!
-----------------------------------------------------------
Dragon Ball Z

Fancy hair-do!
-------------------------------------------------------------
Superhero Girl

This was a girl that we met who possess super powers. What powers? I don't know...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
X-Men's Storm

Now here is a great costume of Storm from X-men the movie. She could have been casted in Halle Berry's place in the film!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Another girl in a superhero costume. I wasn't sure what's her name but a friendly vistor to the site told me it's Emma Frost. Thanks Alvin!

----------------------------------------------------------------------
There are usually at least one Leia Organa (in the slave girl costume) from the Star Wars saga in every convention. You be the judge as to which one you like best!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is a great Spiderman and Black Cat Costume. Is it just me or is the spandex a little too tight? :)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Speaking of Comic turned movie characters...
Here is a classic Punisher costume. Don't ask me who the girl is standing next to him. I really have no idea.
Check out the new Punisher movie! Punisher: War Zone
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And of course who can forget one really creative comic turned movie character...
Ghost Rider! click on the Ghost Rider link to checkout the movie staring Nicolas Cage!
That's some creative hairdo!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
A contrast from the dark Ghost Rider is the loveable Gumby!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
One cool Megaman costume!
I'm trying to figure out how can the person see in this costume! Unless those are his real eyes...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Like people in blue costumes? Here is a Master Chief costume from the game Halo
Gotta love those reflective visors!
--------------------------------------------------------------
Now for all you Ghostbusters fans!
The Guys and the...
Girls!
They were all there to promote this video game!
---------------------------------------------------------------
2008 was the year of Batman the Dark Knight and there were a quite a few Jokers out there...
Take your pick and you decide which one is your favorite!
The original Joker played by Jack Nicholson in Batman (1989)
The newest Joker played by Heath Ledger in Batman: The Dark Knight (2008)
A more creative Joker, I call this the "clown" version
And finally, the Joker from the Batman Comic book series
How do I know all this about the Joker? Maybe I am a Super Duper Batman Fan!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
To prove that not only guys like to Cosplay, here are some pictures of girls in costumes!
Another girl in the Wonder Woman costume.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Here is a picture of a girl dressed as Chun Li from the popular Street Fighter video game.
Proving that you don't have to be Asian to be Chun Li!
If you can't get enough of Chun Li, here is a place to find more pics:

By the Way, have you heard of the movie called Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li ?
-------------------------------------------------------------------
And of course you can't have Chun Li with out Ryu!
Someone should take this picture and add some photoshop effects to it!
Gotta love the punching bag prop as well!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Speaking of fighting video games, here are two Mortal Kombat Characters:
This Raiden looks a little hip with the shades!
-----------------------------------------------------------------
For Anime lovers:
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is a picture of a costume that I call Pirate Lady. I am trying to figure out what character she is from and I am also trying to... what was I talking about again? Sorry, I keep on getting distracted...
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Evil Cheerleader costume:
Why did I call her Evil? Because she is kind of um.. labeled "Evil" :)
------------------------------------------------------------------
Some Scary girls taking a bite out of a victim
--------------------------------------------------------------
Finally, some people in promotional attire.
