The Toys and Games at the Con
In Part III of the 2008 San Diego Comic Con Coverage, we take a look at the different toys and games that will eventually turn our wallets inside out!
-----------------------------------------------------
Yup, whenever you go to a comic convention as big as the San Diego Comic Con, you'll never be dissapointed at who shows up!
I can pretty much guarantee that I will have you yelling "I want that! I want that!!!" by the end of this page...
No no no, stop yelling "I want that!" already! You can't have the company!
-------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------
I am already yelling: "I want that helmet! I want that helmet!"
----------------------------------------------------------------
Well, I guess it makes sense to start off this coverage with some Darth Vader Toys. Only one of them is the original toy and the others are all custom made.

------------------------------------------------------------------
Following Darth Vader's "dark" presence is another "dark" character.
Batman Dark Knight

A popular online store selling these toys is the Big Bad Toy Store.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Since I got this coverage started with this "dark" theme, what better way to follow it up with some
Horror Movies Figures

-------------------------------------------------------------------
It won't be right to say that the comic con was promoting only "dark" themed toys. So let's take a look at some Cute Toys for kids of all ages.

------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, speaking of "cute toys"... whoever would of thought that Mcdonalds made professional looking toys?
I don't think you would find these in your happy meal!
A few people e-mailed me that Ronald McDonald belongs in the "dark" theme toy section because he is creepy looking. I might have to agree with that as soon as I figure out what is Ronald reaching for in the photo? It's either a drink, or someone's neck. You decide.

-------------------------------------------------------------------
And of course what's cuter than food toys?
I'm not sure if I want to try one of those fries since it looks like it has an attitude. :) And no, the robot is not edible.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Then we have Simpsons toys

There's more Simpsons toys located at Toywiz.com
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Now let's move from toys to games, or toy related games, or game related toys... I better stop before I get a headache...
The one toy/game promotion that was the most popular in this year's convention was the ever so famous
Here is the E3 2008 Street Fighter 4 trailer, courtsey of Stemot78
Want to know how crazy people was about Street Fighter? Just look at the banners and toys covering the Comic Con's floor:

There are many online stores selling street fighter toys. You can find them at:

-------------------------------------------------------
Another popular fighting game is Darkstalkers
and the most popular character from Darkstalkers?

Why is she famous? Perhaps the fact that she is a Succubus.
-------------------------------------------------------
In the spirt of fighting and martial arts, the next figure is made in the image of one of my idols.

Bruce Lee's foundation can be found here: http://www.bruceleefoundation.com/
XingKai Wu, the actor playing the role of Michael Zhou in the Time Enforcer film series said that Bruce Lee's phsique was one of the factors that motivated him to workout and prepare for the role in the film. To learn more about how to train and achieve a body similar to Bruce Lee and the Time Enforcer, check out the Time Enforcer Workout Program.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Moving on to more action packed action figures:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT)
Click on the photo to learn more about the toy collection that Toys R Us has to offer.
If you ask me, I miss April O'Neil's original yellow costume.
-------------------------------------------------------
Another popular game character is
Lara Croft from the Tomb Raider video game.
Here is a picture of her and...
...with her close friends!
Who are Lara's friends? Superman and Supergirl of course!
Does this make sense? I guess it doesn't have to since we are dealing with fantasy characters! :)
----------------------------------------------------------------
Up next is the popular Witchblade figure
You know when something is popular when they make a tv show out of it! To learn more about the Witchblade TV show, click here.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Did you start to notice a trend in these toy figures? From April O'Neil, to Lara Croft, to Supergirl, to Witchblade, it seems that "girl" themed figures are growing ever so popular.
The next two pictures definitely belongs in the more "adult themed" section:
Adult themed toy collection

Tera Patrick Posterboard

Sorry folks but I will not be providing any links to their sites since I try to keep this a PG rated site. But if you are really interested you can always google for them.
How did a porn star get her own role in an action video game? That's the power of marketing and free speech for ya. America, what a wonderful place to be!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wanna make your Xbox look cooler? Here are some nice skins to apply to your precious X-box.

Here is also a cool site with all kinds of skins not just for your Xbox but for your laptops, wii, iphone, ps3, and so on.
A cool site with a cool name: http://www.decalgirl.com/
-------------------------------------------------------------
Now that you have your Xbox strapped up, what's a top game that's played on the Xbox?
I wonder of that chainsaw rifle actually works... :P
----------------------------------------------------------
And we finally end the toy/games coverage with some various figures from different lines of toys.

Thanks for stopping buy! (no that is not a typo) ;)
